• The Good News of Jesus, the New Paradise on Earth
  • John the Baptist of Judea announced, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!”
  • and Jesus Christ proclaimed the existence of the Father in heaven, even while suffering on the cross. He taught his disciples:
  • . . . I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know. But I know Him, for I am from Him, and He sent Me.
  • Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you. . . .
  • And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
  • Inspired by the Holy Spirit, John the Apostle wrote Revelation. He wrote the following concerning the coming of God, the Heavenly Father, and the opening of the new world:
  • Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
  • And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.”
  • Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.
  • The Coming of God the Father
  • 10 The Father who sits on the great white throne and opens the new heaven and earth is worshiped as the Lord God Almighty by Christians.
  • 11 The Lord God said to John, “I am the Alpha and the Omega . . . who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” John also declared:
  • 12 Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea,
  • 13 saying, “Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.”
  • 14 In Revelation, John announces the coming of God the Father and the great day of salvation. His message is that when the time of the great change that opens the new heaven and the new earth comes, the Lord God Himself will come to the world, and those who are sent by Him on the important mission of saving the world and creating the new heaven and the new earth will come from the East.
  • 15 This is the news of the Father Himself coming to close the old world stricken with deep grief, transgressions, and curses and to open the new world of heaven on earth.
