• Ho-yun Visits Heaven
  • One day, Sahng-jeh-nim took Ho-yun to see heaven.
  • She followed Him, flying upward swiftly. On the way to heaven, she saw rain pouring down.
  • She was surprised to see that it fell from the middle of the sky rather than from heaven.
  • A dragon in the middle of the sky drew water from oceans and rivers to make rain. Ho-yun learned that the dragon did this twice a day.
  • Sahng-jeh-nim said, “For rain to come on time, there must be only one dragon. If there are two, they fight, trying to shift the duty onto each other. The result is drought.”
  • He also said, “Spirits travel along the middle sky like clouds. People are unaware of this.
  • Humans should respect the spirits and live in accordance with their ways.”
  • Heaven Has No End
  • One day, Hyung-yul asked, “A cloudy day turns beautiful and bright when the sky clears and the sun shines again. Why is it that people in darkness remain in darkness?”
  • “Look at heaven and earth,” Sahng-jeh-nim replied. “Though heaven seems to be as one, it consists of thousands of masses. Still, heaven is all the heavens and has no end.
  • 10 A foolish person curses heaven when there is no rain, and some people make a living by selling heaven, but they do not know what heaven is.”
  • 11 He also said to Hyung-yul and Ho-yun, “I am doing the work of heaven and earth. I have no time to be concerned about trivial matters.
  • 12 Like a dragon that gives rain to the world by carrying up water, you should watch My work carefully and later convey it to enlighten the world. Otherwise, how can the world know of My work?”
