- Many Outstanding People Will Follow Sahng-jeh-nim’s Dao
- 1 One day, on His way to Jung-eup County with Gohng-ooh, Sahng-jeh-nim said, “Gohng-ooh, chant in your mind ‘Poong-oon-jo-hwa.’”
- 2 Gohng-ooh was walking along chanting earnestly in his mind, when suddenly Sahng-jeh-nim said, “You are reciting the wrong words.”
- 3 Gohng-ooh was surprised. He realized he was actually chanting, “Chun-moon-jee-ree.” Immediately, Gohng-ooh corrected himself and chanted the right words in his mind until he arrived at Dae-heung Village.
- 4 That night, the weather alternated between snow and rain. Sahng-jeh-nim said, “Because you recited the wrong words, the qi of heaven is inconsistent.”
- 5 “How is it that one person’s chanting can change the weather?” one of the disciples asked.
- 6 “If I have you undertake the work of renewing heaven and earth in My place, your words are My words,” Sahng-jeh-nim explained. Later, He added,
- 10 “Right now, you cannot even govern a single town, but when the time comes, many outstanding people will follow you as their teachers.”
