- An Offering to the Old Heaven
- 1 At Shin Gyung-su’s house in Oon-sahn Village, Sahng-jeh-nim said to Bahk Gohng-ooh, “I need to remove some of your flesh and Mine. Will you allow it?”
- 2 “If You have use for my flesh, by all means take it,” Gohng-ooh answered.
- 3 Sahng-jeh-nim did not physically remove any of Gohng-ooh’s flesh, but from that day on, they both started growing very thin.
- 4 Some days later, Gohng-ooh said, “You said You would remove some of our flesh, but have not done so. Nevertheless, we have both become very thin. Why is this so?”
- 5 “Our flesh has already been taken and used,” Sahng-jeh-nim explained.
- 6 “The old heaven wished to use the flesh of two people. Not to allow it would have been to show ingratitude to heaven. Therefore, I consented.”
- A Work of Renewal for Resolving
the Malevolent Qi of Gyeh-ryohng Mountain
- 7 One day, Sahng-jeh-nim went to Sahl-mahk Village of Go-bu County with Gohng-shin and many other disciples. Sahng-jeh-nim said, “There is malevolent qi (煞) at Gyeh-ryohng Mountain in Choong-chung Province.
- 8 I will resolve the mountain’s malevolent qi.” Sahng-jeh-nim then proceeded with a work of renewal for resolving the malevolent qi.
