- Cultivate Yourself and You Will See Sahng-jeh-nim
- 1 One day, while walking with disciples, as Sahng-jeh-nim took a step forward, He said to Himself, “Aha! This is what I am.” Then, He stopped to adjust His shoe.
- 2 To the disciples, He said, “In My work, heaven imitates every step. Look up at the sky.”
- 3 The disciples looked up and saw a cloud resembling Sahng-jeh-nim taking a step and then raising one foot.
- 4 Hyung-yul and Ja-hyun bowed from their waists to this image in the blue sky.
- 5 Seeing this, Sahng-jeh-nim said, “Are you bowing to the cloud when I am next to you? I wonder how many people, not having even seen My nose, will make images of Me and bow to them.
- 6 Those who have seen Me will not bow to images that do not look like Me. But who knows how many people, not having seen Me, will mistakenly bow to such images?”
- 7 He continued, “It will be just like Hyung-yul bowing to the cloud. Hyung-yul, you have established a great program in the work of renewal. You have done it well.”
