- The Way to Repent
- 1 One day, Sahng-jeh-nim said to Gohng-ooh, “Bring to mind every roguish act you have done and every unjust thought you have had.”
- 2 Thinking back to his early days, Gohng-ooh remembered watching the king and high officials in a procession in Seoul and enviously thinking to himself, “I wish I could be like that.” He admitted this to Sahng-jeh-nim.
- 3 Sahng-jeh-nim asked, “Do you think it was right or wrong to have that thought?”
“I think it was wrong. It could not have been right.”
- 4 “In that case, bow to Me four times and in prayer resolve never to do it again.”
