• All Things Are Renewed by Me
  • After returning from His three-year journey, Jeung-san burned His ancestors’ certificates of honorary positions and official appointments in His family’s house in Gaeng-mahng Village.
  • When His parents and relatives tried to stop Him, He explained, “In the coming world, you will not rely on these.”
  • Then He proclaimed, “Starting from Me, all things are renewed.”
  • Wailing at the Foot of Shee-ru Mountain
  • After this, He went to the top of Shee-ru Mountain and immersed Himself in meditation with His long hair down.
  • While He meditated on creating a great dao to open a new heaven and a new earth, the nation was in a tragic state. He sometimes wept sorrowfully in the pasture at the foot of the mountain.
  • Deep Compassion for Humanity
  • 19 During His travels, Jeung-san once saw a father and daughter weak with hunger lying by the side of a brook.
  • 20 The daughter caught a shrimp and put it in her father’s mouth, but the father took it out and put it in her mouth.
  • 21 Witnessing the scene with deep sympathy and sorrow, Jeung-san said to Himself, “I need to provide for all these poor people.
  • 22 I will save the poor and starving everywhere.”
  • Jeung-san Meets Gim Gyung-su
  • 27 Gim Gyung-su of Hahm-pyung County vowed to heaven and earth, “I will study for fifty years to accomplish a noble purpose.” He then immersed himself in study.
  • 28 Forty-nine years later, while experiencing divine energy, Gim Gyung-su received the Tae-eul Mantra and realized that the Maitreya Buddha’s world of Dragon Flower would arrive someday.
  • Jeung-san Receives the Tae-eul Mantra from Gim Gyung-su
  • 29 One day, Jeung-san summoned Gim Gyung-su. Gyung-su arrived in Gaeng-mahng Village later that day.
  • 30 While eating an evening meal prepared by His wife, Jung Chee-soon, Jeung-san spoke with Gyung-su about matters related to dao.
  • 31 At this time, Gyung-su chanted the Tae-eul Mantra and offered it to Jeung-san.
