• Teach People Correctly
  • Walking toward the pulpit, Sahng-jeh-nim loudly berated the preacher. “You should not teach in that way.
  • The principle of all affairs in heaven and earth lies within the people who live together in heaven and earth. How dare you deceive people! If you want to take on the role of preacher, teach them correctly as if laying out a straight path.
  • Once a path has been laid, it spreads outward like veins throughout the world. Unless it is a correct path, do not teach it.”
  • Chastising the Disavowal of Ancestors
  • Sahng-jeh-nim continued, “The Heavenly Father that preachers believe in and the Buddha of whom monks teach are the same in origin. If people are misled, the Original Master of Heaven and Earth cannot occupy His proper place.”
  • He then spoke to the congregation. “Human beings are formed through heaven and earth’s creative change. How could Adam and Eve be the parents of the whole world?
  • This false teaching leads people to disavow their parents and ancestors. This is a grievous transgression.
  • All people have their own ancestors, and each tribe has its own roots.
  • The ancestor of Koreans is Dahn-goon, and Jehovah is the regional spirit of the Jewish people.
  • Furthermore, it is natural that a woman gives birth to a human being. How could a woman be made from a man’s rib?”
  • 10 Sahng-jeh-nim continued to rebuke the people for the grievous transgression of disavowing their ancestors. The congregation was disturbed and began whispering to each other.
  • 11 Then, in a voice that shook the church, Sahng-jeh-nim commanded, “Where is the lightning spirit? Bring lightning quickly!”
  • 12 A ball of fire as bright as the sun appeared in the clear night sky. Lightning shot through a window of the church, thunder roared, and torrential rain poured down.
  • 13 Numerous mudfish, catfish, and mandarin fish fell from the sky.
  • 14 Most of the congregation cowered in fear, but some ran out to gather the fallen fish.
  • 15 The bright ball of fire disappeared and the whole place became pitch-black. The people could not see a thing.
  • 16 Those outside were unable to catch any of the fish, and, bitten by the mandarine fish, they cried out in pain and fled. The scene was chaotic.
