• Tae-mo-nim Is Detained by the Police
  • On November 22, Tae-mo-nim asked the disciples, “Will you follow Me, even through floods and fire?” The disciples pledged that they would.
  • In the early morning of the twenty-fifth, while making an offering of wine during a chee-sung, Tae-mo-nim asked the disciples, “How many drops of wine have fallen on the table?”
  • They counted and reported, “Twenty-three.” She asked them again, and when they counted the second time, they found twenty-four.
  • When they told Her this, She said, “It should be so.”
  • In those days, many scandalous events occurred in Cha Gyung-suk’s organization, prompting the regional police to keep them under surveillance day and night.
  • Dozens of believers were arrested and detained at the Mohk-po Police Station. They blamed everything on Tae-mo-nim, and the police came to arrest Her.
  • Around noon, the policemen arrived in the village and asked Gahng Sa-sung of Tae-mo-nim’s whereabouts.
  • Alarmed, Eung-chil ran to Her and said, “There will certainly be trouble. Please hide for a while.”
  • “Why should I flee what comes My way?” Tae-mo-nim replied. She took a sheet of paper on which there was a talisman for driving away harm, and She wrote on it a mantra for dismissing demons.
  • 10 She said, “I knew of this ahead of time, but I must obediently accept what is to come or there will be repercussions. Hiding is not possible.” Tae-mo-nim sat calmly.
  • 11 Soon, the police came and asked for Tae-mo-nim. From inside, She called out for the followers to lead the police to Her. She and the policemen exchanged a few words and then, with Eung-chil, left for the Mohk-po Police Station.
