- Spirits and Humans Are One
- 1 One day, Sahng-jeh-nim said to His disciples, “Since you wish to see spirits, tomorrow I will summon many spirits and let you see them.” The disciples were ecstatic.
- 2 The next day, in Wun-pyung Village, He led them up a hill that overlooked a field. Gathered below, there were a countless number of miners they had never seen before.
- 3 Sahng-jeh-nim pointed to them and said, “They are spirits. When you call for spirits, people come.”
- A Man from Heaven as White as Snow
- 5 Once, when Ho-yun was in a room with Sahng-jeh-nim, a man as white as snow came down from heaven and stood in the doorway. The man called out to Ho-yun, “Doh-yohng.”
- 6 Not realizing he was calling out to her, she asked Sahng-jeh-nim, “Who is Doh-yohng?”
- 7 Sahng-jeh-nim held His hand tightly over her mouth. “Do not say anything.” He then said something to the man, and the man disappeared without a trace.
- 8 The man looked old and his hair, beard, and whole body were as white as snow.
- The True Heaven
- 9 Pointing to the sky, Sahng-jeh-nim said, “People think the sky they see is all there is, but that is only the middle heaven. I am the true heaven.”
- 10 He continued, “There are people (神明) living inside the earth.”
