- Ohk-hwahng Sahng-jeh Is Here
- 1 Sahng-jeh-nim and Ho-yun left the water wheel, and they approached the castle gate. Two gatekeepers standing at both sides, wearing horned helmets and holding clubs, tried to keep them from entering,
- 2 but Sahng-jeh-nim kicked the gate open and went inside with Ho-yun.
- 3 Inside, Ho-yun saw countless houses and village upon village and, in the middle of all this, a tall house with a tile roof. It was impossible to judge just how many stories high it was.
- 4 Sahng-jeh-nim entered the house and yelled, “Ohk-hwahng Sahng-jeh is here!” His voice roared throughout the undersea world.
- 5 A general dressed in armor, carrying a sword and a spear, marched out and greeted Sahng-jeh-nim by bowing.
- 6 Sahng-jeh-nim took his hand and said, “If even just one of the five colors is missing, My work cannot succeed.”
- 7 The general answered, “Yes, indeed. Only if the work is done as quickly as possible . . . . When the earth tumbles upside down, I also will have no way to survive. Please do as You see fit.”
- 8 Sahng-jeh-nim said, “In that case, drain the ocean. That is the only way to prevent people from falling to their deaths in the empty spaces.
- 9 You only die once. You do not die twice. Do not change your mind, not even a little. Everyone should proceed together. Spread the word in other places as well so that others will come to join you.
- 10 All the undersea castles must come together.”
“How could I change my mind?” the general said, confirming his unyielding determination.
