- 1 One day, while doing a work of renewal involving the Hwahng-geuk number, Sahng-jeh-nim asked the disciples about their wishes. When He finally asked Gyung-suk,
- 2 Gyung-suk said that he hoped lands would be assigned to him. Sahng-jeh-nim said, “Minister of the military would be an appropriate job for you.” But this displeased Gyung-suk.
- 3 Sahng-jeh-nim explained, “It is difficult to entrust authority over the military to a subject who is not resolute. That is why I can entrust only you with this.”
