| 5 | Tae-mo-nim received the dao lineage and authority of the Great Dao of Mu-geuk from Sahng-jeh-nim, who selected Her as the Su-bu, and attained ultimate enlightenment. |
| 7 | As the Su-bu, Tae-mo-nim conducted the work of renewing heaven and earth for ten years, thus atoning for humanity’s transgressions and all bitterness and grief, guiding the world’s people to the path of a new life. |

| | 11:2 | | | Tae-mo-nim’s Life Before Meeting Sahng-jeh-nim |
| 1 | Tae-mo-nim’s surname was Go (高), and Her given name was Pahl-lyeh (判禮). She was of the Go family whose ancestors came from Jahng-taek County. |
| 3 | Her father’s name was Go Duk-sahm, and Her mother’s family name was Bahk. Tae-mo-nim’s father and mother are honored as Sacred Father and Sacred Mother. |
| 6 | Not long after this, she conceived Tae-mo-nim. |
| 7 | When Tae-mo-nim was six years old, the Sacred Father died, and She and the Sacred Mother went to live with the Sacred Mother’s maternal grandparents, the Sohngs. Though Tae-mo-nim was young, one of the men in that family, who was a monk, taught Her to meditate. |

| 1 | On the morning of the twenty-ninth, Hyung-yul came to Tae-mo-nim and spoke of his daughter’s death. |
| 2 | Tae-mo-nim said with compassion, “That is such a pity.” She gave him a large sum of money, saying, “Use this for her funeral.” |
| 3 | Later that day, Tae-mo-nim put on a bridal headdress and a colorful bridal gown that She had borrowed from Yu Eung-hwa of Doh-deum-shil Village, and She then got into a sedan chair. |
| 10 | After everything was arranged, Tae-mo-nim summoned Sahng-jeh-nim’s disciples to assemble. |
| 13 | In October 1911, in accordance with the way of spirits, Tae-mo-nim opened the Po-jung-so, the Center for Governing Dao’s Conveyance, and declared the foundation of Her dao organization. |

| 9 | Others campaigned to move Tae-mo-nim’s center to a different location to get Her away from Gyung-suk. |

| 1 | After failing to move the center, Sahng-jeh-nim’s disciples stopped coming. Only Gyung-suk and his brothers were left to attend on Tae-mo-nim and receive the followers. |
| 3 | He sent them to the various regions to win the support of the followers, and he forbade the followers to see Tae-mo-nim and pay homage to Her. |
| 5 | For about a year following his departure, Tae-mo-nim spent many idle days unable to meet with followers. |

| 1 | On Her way to Sohng-sahn Village, Tae-mo-nim ate lunch at a restaurant in front of Bu-yohng Train Station. When She was about to resume Her journey, She said to Her followers, “Braid My hair.” |
| 3 | Approaching the checkpoint, Tae-mo-nim staggered left and right, waved Her long pipe, and chanted loudly, “Shee-chun-ju Jo-hwa-jung Yung-seh-bool-mahng Mahn-sa-jee.” |
| 7 | When they reached Hwahng-sahn Village, Tae-mo-nim said, “Bring Me a sedan chair.” Getting inside, She ordered, “Quickly, let us go.” They headed for Sohng-sahn Village. |
| 9 | After about a month, they temporarily moved Tae-mo-nim to a small house near the planned site of the new center in Jo-johng Village, and later they brought Her to stay with Gahng Eung-chil in the same village. |

| | 11:35 | | | Tae-mo-nim Is Detained by the Police |
| 1 | On November 22, Tae-mo-nim asked the disciples, “Will you follow Me, even through floods and fire?” The disciples pledged that they would. |
| 2 | In the early morning of the twenty-fifth, while making an offering of wine during a chee-sung, Tae-mo-nim asked the disciples, “How many drops of wine have fallen on the table?” |
| 6 | Dozens of believers were arrested and detained at the Mohk-po Police Station. They blamed everything on Tae-mo-nim, and the police came to arrest Her. |
| 7 | Around noon, the policemen arrived in the village and asked Gahng Sa-sung of Tae-mo-nim’s whereabouts. |
| 9 | “Why should I flee what comes My way?” Tae-mo-nim replied. She took a sheet of paper on which there was a talisman for driving away harm, and She wrote on it a mantra for dismissing demons. |
