- A Woman Is Cured of Leprosy
- 1 The wife of Chief Magistrate Gim of Su-geum Village, Jung-eup County, had suffered from leprosy for over ten years.
- 2 A woman from that village came and asked Tae-mo-nim to cure the leprosy.
- 3 After asking the woman about the symptoms, Tae-mo-nim said to a female disciple named Jun Dae-yoon, “Go there and hold a big chee-sung. Then, have the woman with leprosy meditate for seven days.”
- 4 Dae-yoon followed the instructions she had been given, and by the end of the seven days, the woman’s condition greatly improved.
- 5 Dae-yoon returned and said to Tae-mo-nim, “Nine-tenths of the disease has been cured.”
- 6 Tae-mo-nim praised her, then said, “Go again in seven days and heal her completely.”
- 7 When Dae-yoon went there, she had the woman meditate several more days. The illness was completely healed.
- 8 Later, the magistrate came to Jo-johng Village with gifts for Tae-mo-nim. He brought with him a large amount of food, which was offered in a chee-sung in front of Sahng-jeh-nim’s portrait.
