• An Order for the Spirits Governing Roads
  • As they were about to leave Nohng-ba-ooh Village, a disciple said, “The road is so muddy we cannot take a single step.” Immediately, Sahng-jeh-nim commanded:
  • 勅令治道神將
    御在淳昌籠巖 移御于井邑大興
  • This royal decree is for the spirits governing roads.
  • I am leaving Nohng-ba-ooh Village in Soon-chahng County for Dae-heung Village in Jung-eup County.
  • As soon as He commanded this, the muddy roads froze solid. They arrived in Dae-heung Village with dry shoes.
  • A Su-bu Is Needed
  • Late in the autumn, on their way to Dae-heung Village from Nohng-ba-ooh Village, Sahng-jeh-nim and Gyung-suk stopped in Haeng-dahn Village.
  • There, Sahng-jeh-nim said to Gyung-suk, “My work can only be done with the participation of a su-bu. Recommend a woman if you truly wish to take part in this work.”
  • 10 After they had returned to Gyung-suk’s home in Dae-heung Village, Gyung-suk recommended his female cousin, whose family name was Go, to be the su-bu.
  • Entrusting the Su-bu with the Great Work
  • 11 On November 3, Sahng-jeh-nim held a ceremony to receive Her as the Su-bu,
  • 12 during which He said, “For fifteen years, I have devoted Myself to meeting You. From now on, I entrust You with the great work of heaven and earth.”
