- Ho-yun Makes a Mess on Sahng-jeh-nim
- 1 When Ho-yun was young and Sahng-jeh-nim carried her on His back, she sometimes urinated on His clothes.
- 2 Laughing, Sahng-jeh-nim would say, “You peed on My clothes, huh?”
- 3 One winter day, when Sahng-jeh-nim was carrying Ho-yun inside His jacket, she defecated.
- 4 Sahng-jeh-nim said, “Oh, this rascal has made a mess!” He scraped it off with a branch and then washed the clothing in a stream.
- 5 Sahng-jeh-nim carried two or three washcloths when traveling with Ho-yun. She would often be awoken by Sahng-jeh-nim washing her face and hands.
- 6 He brushed her teeth with salt so that she would not have bad breath; if there was no salt, He used fine sand.
- 7 Once, Ho-yun complained that her eyes hurt. Sahng-jeh-nim licked them and the pain was gone in no time.
