• Gim Gwahng-chahn, So Jin-sup, and
    Gim Sung-hwa Become Disciples
  • On August 2, 1905, Hyung-yul met with Sahng-jeh-nim in Sun-dohl Village and from there accompanied Him to Gim Bo-gyung’s house in Hwey-sun Village, Hahm-yul Township.
  • On the journey, they walked twenty to thirty lee a day.
  • During the many days they stayed with him, Bo-gyung introduced Gim Gwahng-chahn, who hoped to be a disciple, to Sahng-jeh-nim.
  • Also, So Jin-sup came, wanting to be a disciple, followed later by Gim Sung-hwa from Goon-doon Village in Im-pee Township.
  • After this time, Hyung-yul returned home. For several months, Sahng-jeh-nim conducted the work of renewing heaven and earth in Hahm-yul and Im-pee townships.
  • During His work, Sahng-jeh-nim said, “What tedium. I have something in mind to keep the world hysterical with laughter.
  • Sitting here, you will laugh. Many will go insane with laughter.”
