• A Great War That Concludes the Ultimate Contest
  • On December 24, at Moon Gohng-shin’s house, Sahng-jeh-nim asked the disciples, “Will there be any wars in the future or not?”
  • Some said there would be and others said there would not.
  • “In this time of the gae-byuk of heaven and earth,” Sahng-jeh-nim said, “how could there be no wars? There will be war all over the world.”
  • He then said, “Let us prepare our arsenal.” He gathered about twenty long tobacco pipes and stood them upside down against the wall.
  • He then had the disciples tie cloths around their foreheads and use cloths as leggings.
  • He had someone write the Shee-chun-ju Mantra on white paper, roll it tightly like a wick, light one end on fire, and use it to poke holes in the paper screen door.
  • He ordered the disciples to shoulder the long pipes like rifles and line up. He said, “If the line is scattered, soldiers will be harmed.”
  • Sahng-jeh-nim made the disciples go outside through the back door, go around the kitchen, and come back in. He then told them to point their rifles through the holes in the door and imitate gunfire.
  • After that, He had them go out, go around the outhouse, come in, and again imitate gunfire.
  • 10 Next, He had them go around the shed, come back in, and resume firing. Because He made them quickly run zigzag, the older disciples were exhausted and gasped for air.
  • 11 Sahng-jeh-nim said, “In the future, when a great war breaks out, nations will proudly demonstrate their skill. The nation showing the greatest skill becomes the superior power, and eventually war will come to an end.”
