- Even If a Hundred Thousand People
Were in the Same Trouble
- 4 A prison guard who knew Gim Hyung-yul and Gim Ja-hyun moved both of them to a separate, quiet cell to make them more comfortable.
- 5 Hyung-yul asked the guard to have Sahng-jeh-nim moved in with them.
- 6 When moved to the cell, Sahng-jeh-nim said to Hyung-yul and Ja-hyun, “They say a gathering of three people can solve any problem in the town.
- 7 Since three of us have gathered here, let us undertake the work under heaven.” The two disciples did not answer.
- 8 “Is it that you cannot answer because your blessings are burdensome?” Sahng-jeh-nim asked. “Today, three of us will decide the work of renewing heaven and earth.”
- 9 Sahng-jeh-nim quietly said to Ja-hyun, “Even if a hundred thousand people were in the same trouble as we are, I would resolve all of their problems without allowing a single hair on their heads to be harmed. Thus, be reassured.”
