- 1 In June, Sahng-jeh-nim asked Gim Gwahng-chahn, “When speaking with others, how do you usually refer to Me?”
“I usually call You a country nobleman,” Gwahng-chahn answered.
- 2 “How do you think a country nobleman refers to you?”
“He would probably call me a town official.”
- 3 At this, Sahng-jeh-nim said, “A country nobleman calls a town official a wretched official, and a town official calls a country nobleman a wretched nobleman. This is the thread of animosity.
- 4 If you and I resolve our differences, all spirits and humans will follow our example, and the world will be full of peace and harmony.”
