- Ho-yun, a Precocious Child
- 1 Ho-yun, being such a precocious child, was apt to bother Sahng-jeh-nim. One day, He said,
- 2 “When you poop, I wipe your behind. When you are dirty, I clean you. Why do you cause Me so much trouble?”
- 3 Rather than remaining quiet, Ho-yun boldly said, “I am going to tell everyone that You are hiding a puppy. Why do You carry a puppy in Your pants? Are You going to have it bite someone You don’t like?”
- 4 At this, Sahng-jeh-nim heartily laughed, holding His stomach. Ho-yun asked, “Does the puppy become a person?”
- 5 “It can be a puppy or a person.”
“Can the puppy live without eating?”
- 6 “When I eat, it also eats.” He continued to laugh for a long time.
