- For Those Who Are Cold and Hungry
- 1 Sohng Eun-ju from Oon-bohng Township, who came in the spring of 1904, often made jackets for Sahng-jeh-nim.
- 2 One day, Sahng-jeh-nim went out wearing new clothes and returned after giving them away.
- 3 Upon returning, He said to Eun-ju, “Hurry and bring Me something to wear.” After putting on the clothes she gave Him, He continued, “Generously give food to the hungry and clothes to those without.”
- 4 Sahng-jeh-nim would make straw sandals, which He hung on the wall. On His way out, He would carry a pair on His waist and give them away to a barefooted person.
- 5 Sometimes, He would give away the very shoes on His feet and return home barefooted Himself.
