- 2 Sahng-jeh-nim said, “All means were given to the world for the purpose of My work.”
- 3 In one of the works of renewing heaven and earth, He wrote:
- 佛之形體 仙之造化 儒之凡節
- 4 Form and substance are in Buddhism.
- 5 Creative change is in Immortalism.
- 6 Decorum is in Confucianism.
- 受天地之虛無 仙之胞胎
受天地之寂滅 佛之養生
受天地之以詔 儒之浴帶
冠旺
兜率 虛無寂滅以詔
- 7 Receiving heaven and earth’s emptiness and nothingness,
Immortalism conceived and gave form to a dao embryo.
- 8 Receiving heaven and earth’s stillness and silence,
Buddhism gestated and gave birth to dao.
- 9 Receiving heaven and earth’s governance and edification,
Confucianism bathed and dressed dao.
- 10 Next comes the crowning and flourishing.
- 11 The Lord of Tushita Heaven unites and governs:
emptiness and nothingness,
stillness and silence,
governance and edification.
- The Joker and the Madman
- 13 One day, Sahng-jeh-nim said to Hyung-yul, “The world is very wicked. Since you cannot act insane, you had better act like a joker.
- 14 I will behave like a madman.”
