- Hyung-yul’s Respect for Sahng-jeh-nim Deepens
- 9 One day, Sahng-jeh-nim sent a message to Hyung-yul, telling him to go to Geum-sahn Temple.
- 10 When Hyung-yul reached the bridge in front of the temple, he saw the statue of Maitreya Buddha shining like gold and walking toward him.
- 11 Hyung-yul fell flat on the ground, trembling. Then, he heard a voice say, “You may now rise.” When he managed to collect himself and get to his feet, he found Sahng-jeh-nim smiling in front of him.
- 12 From then on, Hyung-yul spoke to Sahng-jeh-nim even more respectfully than ever, and the other disciples followed his example.
