- Redirecting Korea’s Destiny
- 1 While staying some time with Bahk Jahng-geun, Sahng-jeh-nim said, “Make a big pot of sweet rice drink.” Around eight o’clock that night, Sahng-jeh-nim put the rice drink in a container and placed it underneath the curfew bell.
- 2 Then, He said, “On Hwey-moon Mountain, there is an auspicious site called Five Immortals Playing Ba-dook. In order to redirect Korea’s destiny, I attach to that site the Program of Relieving the Bitterness and Grief of Danzhu, who was the first to play ba-dook.
- 3 One of the five immortals is the host and watches over the game.
- 4 The other four play. Though they all strive to win, the game drags on without a winner.
- 5 I am going to call forth Chey Su-oon, and with him as witness, I will bring the game to an end. This sweet rice drink is for him.”
