- 1 To several disciples, Jeung-san Sahng-jeh-nim said, “I am Ohk-hwahng Sahng-jeh.
- 2 Having authority over the three realms, I will save countless lives by healing the illness of heaven and earth with the resolution of bitterness and grief and mutual life-giving.”
- 3 One day, Sahng-jeh-nim said to Gyung-suk, “To stand in My royal court, one must recite the ‘Preface to Shuzhuan’ many times.
- 4 Read it ten thousand times.”
- 5 Following Sahng-jeh-nim’s instruction, Gyung-suk sat still and recited it day and night. During this time, he did not go out, and Sahng-jeh-nim did the chores, including bringing in the meals.
- 6 Sahng-jeh-nim did this attentively, as if taking care of a child.
