- A Child Comes Back to Life
- 1 A five-year-old child of the Hwahng family in Gu-ahm Village, Gim-jeh County, was bedridden for four days, suffering from convulsions.
- 2 A female follower named Gim Doh-sung-hwa went to the house and tried her best to help, but the child died.
- 3 She reported this to Tae-mo-nim and said, “My failure has caused a child’s death. What shall I do?”
- 4 “How long has it been since the child died?” Tae-mo-nim asked.
“Three days.”
- 5 “Return immediately,” Tae-mo-nim instructed her. “Carefully cook some rice and prepare a table in the middle of the yard. Then, prepare three more tables and place them in front of the main entrance.
- 6 In the yard, chant the Yeh-go Mantra and the Gaeng-saeng Mantra twenty-one times each. Then, in front of the main entrance, chant the Oon-jahng Mantra twenty-one times. If you do this, the child will come back to life.”
- 7 Doh-sung-hwa returned immediately and did as instructed. The child came back to life.
- 8 The child and the mother came to Tae-mo-nim and bowed in deep gratitude.
