- The “Preface to Shuzhuan,”
Cultivating the Mind and Historical Awareness
- 1 Sahng-jeh-nim said, “If you wish to receive a great destiny, read the ‘Preface to Shuzhuan’ often.” From the preface, He recited:
- 且生於數千載之下 而欲講明於數千載之前 亦已難矣
- 2 Born thousands of years after they lived, I would like to reveal what happened thousands of years ago, but i find it indeed difficult.
- 3 Sahng-jeh-nim then said, “This verse is worthy of being recited after a bowl of fresh water has been offered to heaven and earth.”
